'Keep Kids Alive Drive 25' Campaign Comes To Brick
Brick Township police say the program aims to remind drivers to slow down, especially in residential neighborhoods.
BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police have joined a national safety campaign to remind drivers to drive slowly in residential neighborhoods.
The police department has joined the Keep Kids Alive Drive 25 program, the department announced. Information on the program will be handed out during the Brick Senior Outreach Services Exhibitor/Vendor Fair at Trader’s Cove Marina on Sept. 18. The event is set for 9:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
The campaign aims to "make streets safer for all who walk, cycle, play, drive, and ride, while supporting families whose loved ones died due to a traffic incident," Brick police said.

The goal is to stop deaths and injuries caused by unsafe driving behaviors, they said. "No one wants to be behind the wheel and hit someone, yet our behaviors can lead to just such incidents."
The police department will have yard signs and trash can decals that people can display in their neighborhoods to remind people to slow down.
