Livoti's Opens For Business In Brick
The grand opening means there is a grocery store operating at the site for the first time since Pathmark closed.
BRICK, NJ — It has been eight years since a grocery store was operating in the Laurel Square Shopping Center.
On Thursday, Livoti's Old World Market opened for business, a welcome addition for residents north and east of the Laurelton interchange.
Mayor Lisa Crate and members of the town council participated in the grand opening of the market that sells Italian specialties. It filled the 30,000-square-foot space that once was home to Pathmark.

It is the first time since Pathmark closed in November 2015 that residents could buy groceries at the shopping center that sits between Routes 70 and 88. In 2019, Corrado's Market announced it was anticipating opening in 2020, but financial stresses and supply chain delays that resulted from the pandemic led to it being evicted from the space by Brixmor, the property owner, in June 2022.
The Brick store is the fifth location for the market, which is based in Monmouth County.
