Man Who Posted Secret Brick Bathroom Videos On Porn Site Sentenced
A man who hid a camera in a Brick home and recorded people including a 16-year-old, then posted the videos, has been sentenced to prison.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Monmouth County man who secretly recorded videos of female victims — including a teenager — in a Brick Township home and posted them to pornographic websites has been sentenced to nine years in prison, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced.
Michael P. Mattina, 59, of Matawan, was sentenced Friday by Superior Court Judge Guy P. Ryan. The five-year prison sentence includes five years of parole ineligibility on the charge of distributing child pornography, the prosecutor's office said.
Ryan also sentenced Mattina to four years in prison on a charge of invasion of privacy, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said. The sentences will run consecutively, authorities said.

Mattina pled guilty to both charges before Ryan on July 22, 2024.
Investigators found Mattina had hidden a camera in the bathroom of the home and used it to record six female victims, one who was 16, authorities said. He then posted the videos to two adult websites, where users view pornography.

Authorities have not said how Mattina had access to hide the camera.
Mattina was charged in August 2020 with invasion of privacy, distribution of obscene materials, endangering the welfare of a child, manufacturing child pornography and distribution of child pornography, Billhimer said. He surrendered at Brick Township Police Headquarters and was served with a summons, authorities said.
