Marietta Hamner, Former Brick Teacher, Dies At 85
She taught in the district for 30 years, according to her obituary.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday for Marietta Hamner, a former teacher in the Brick Township School District, who died Sunday. She was 85, according to her obituary on the Kedz Funeral Home website.
Mrs. Hamner taught in the Brick Township schools for 30 years and retired in 1994, her family said.
She was born in Clifton and grew up in Passaic before moving to Toms River in 1964.

She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Theresa Costanzo, and brother Samuel Costanzo.
Surviving are her husband Paul; her daughter, Doris Hamner and husband Jose of Arlington, MA; her son, Paul Jr., and wife Jennifer; two grandsons, Paul William Hamner, of Toms River, and Thomas Hamner of Sloatsburg, NY; a granddaughter, Rebecca Hamner of Sloatsburg, NY, and a sister, Rosemarie Costanzo of Dania Beach, FL.

Visitation will be held at Kedz Funeral Home, 1123 Hooper Ave., Toms River on Thursday from 10 a.m. to noon, with the funeral service beginning at noon. Burial will follow at Crest Haven Cemetery, Clifton, NJ. Letters of condolence may be sent by visiting www.kedzfuneralhome.com.
