Middle School Student Threat Investigated In Brick
Brick police and school district officials said the threat was reported Wednesday afternoon.

BRICK, NJ — An alleged threat by a Veterans Memorial Middle School student has been investigated and deemed not credible, Brick Township police said Thursday.
In a joint statement posted on the police department's Facebook page, police and school district officials said there had been a report to authorities on Wednesday afternoon that a student had made threatening statements.
"Acting on the information provided, detectives worked with the school officials to address the situation. The investigation is still ongoing however, we have determined that there is no credible threat to the safety of our students and staff," the statement said.

The statement did not give specifics about the nature of the threat.
"Chief David Forrester would like to thank the school administration and those who reported the incident. Brick Police and Brick Schools want to assure the community that we always take such incidents seriously and will investigate all threats to their lawful conclusion," the statement said.
