New Bag Policy At Six Flags Great Adventure Announced
Six Flags is putting limits on the size of the bags and reminding people to "behave appropriately" or be thrown out of the parks.

JACKSON, NJ — Six Flags is tightening its security procedures around bags people can carry into its theme parks, the corporation said.
That change includes Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, which announced the change on its social media sites.
People coming to the park will be limited to bags or purses that measure no larger than 12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches. In addition all bags will go through X-ray screening.

The only bag size exceptions will be for diaper bags for infants or young children, or bags carried for medical reasons, the company says.
Six Flags did not give specifics of what has prompted what is called "enhanced public safety measures," which will be in place for the remainder of Fright Fest.

"Because Six Flags is a family park, we expect guests to behave appropriately," the announcement about the bag policy said. "Violating our park policies may be cause for ejection from the park without refund."
It was not immediately clear whether the maximum bag size will remain in place when the parks reopen in the spring.
A message seeking additional information and comment from Six Flags was not immediately answered.
