Pickleball Clinics Scheduled In Brick

Learn to play the fastest growing sport in the nation.

BRICK, NJ — If you've wanted to learn how to play pickleball, now is your opportunity.

Brick Township's Recreation department is offering pickleball clinics for those 18 and older at Angela Hibbard Park, 616 Drum Point Road.

Pickleball has been the fastest-growing sport in the United States for the last five years and is an affordable, easy-to-learn sport that can be played by people of all ages and athletic abilities.

The fee for the clinics is $20 and they are offered for beginners and intermediate players. You can register here.

The beginner clinic, set for May 9 from 10:30 a.m.-noon, teaches the fundamentals of the sport that combines tennis, badminton and table tennis. All equipment is supplied, please wear sneakers and bring a drink.

The intermediate clinic, with sessions scheduled for April 25 and May 16 from 10:30 a.m.-noon, will feature coached games that teach new strokes and strategies to improve your skills. "You must feel comfortable playing with others of this level to join this clinic," the township says.
