Police, EMS, Fire Training Exercises Underway In Brick

The exercises are in the eastern part of the township, Brick police said. Drivers and residents should anticipate some traffic disruptions.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township emergency personnel will be conducting training exercises Wednesday evening in the eastern part of the township, authorities said.

From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Brick Township police and EMS and New Jersey State Police will be taking part in a joint training exercise in the Cherry Quay section, police said.

"For the safety of yourself and the first responders participating, please refrain from interacting or interfering with the training if you happen to see personnel operating," the police department said.

Starting about 5:30 p.m., Brick Township firefighters will have a training exercise in the area of St. Lawrence Boulevard and Alcala Drive, police said.

"You may see simulated smoke and fire department apparatus in the area," police said. "Please note this is a training exercise only."

Alcala Drive residents may have limited access to the street during the exercise, which is expected to run until 9 p.m., police said.
