Royal Farms Closer To Opening Brick Store
"The wait is almost over" for the Brick location of the convenience store chain known for its fried chicken, the company said.

BRICK, NJ — It has been one of the longest waits for fried chicken, but after more than four years, Royal Farms says it is nearly set to open its Brick Township store.
"We are super excited to finally be opening our newest location in Brick!" the company said Friday morning in a post on its Facebook page. "It’s been a long wait but the wait is almost over and we are excited to be able to bring our World Famous Chicken and superior customer service to your area! We know you have been patiently waiting as well and we appreciate that so much!"
The store, at 1756 Route 88, received approval for its plan to build the store on the former Jersey Paddler property from the Brick Township Board of Adjustment in September 2018.

Construction, which was hampered by the coronavirus pandemic, appeared to have been completed in late 2021, but the building has sat mostly quiet since then, with no real word from the company about what was delaying the opening.
The delays have led to speculation in the community that the store would not open, similar to the fate of the Corrado's Market that was slated to fill part of the former Pathmark space at the Laurel Square Shopping Center. Corrado's was evicted from the space in June, just weeks after saying it would have its grand opening July 4.

The Royal Farms announcement Friday said the store is seeking more employees. The store is listed on its "Coming Soon" page but no opening date is given.
"We have already made so many fantastic hires for this store and we are looking for a few more rock stars to add to our team!" the announcement said
There are two hiring events, on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
"Whether you’re looking for your first job, a second job or a whole new career it’s a great time to join the growing Royal Farms team," the company said.
Applications can be filled out online and the hiring events welcome walk-in applicants, the company said.
