Summer Job Applications Being Accepted In Brick
From lifeguards and beach badge checkers to summer camp counselors and crossing guards, Brick is seeking summer staffing for 2025.

BRICK, NJ — There are 115 days until Memorial Day, and summer 2025 is not far behind. Brick Township officials are getting ready for days of fun in the sun by seeking applications for the town's seasonal jobs.
The township is hiring camp counselors, lifeguards, beach badge checkers, Windward Beach maintenance, summer crossing guards and a tennis instructor.
"These opportunities are ideal for individuals who are eager to contribute to their community, gain valuable work experience and make the most of the summer season," Brick officials said in advertising the jobs. "Whether you are looking to build your skills, work in a dynamic environment or simply enjoy the satisfaction of serving others, these positions offer a chance to grow personally and professionally."

CAMP COUNSELOR: Camp operates from June 30 to Aug. 5, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. weather permitting. Applicants must be at least 15 years old. There will be a mandatory staff training day. Counselors must comply with all procedures, policies and practices. Counselors are responsible for overseeing campers ages 5-13. Must be able to supervise a variety of recreational activities. No experience necessary. Starting pay $15.49/hour.
LIFEGUARD: Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Must be able to swim 500 yards and run 1 mile. Applicants must provide a doctor’s note and all paperwork prior to tryout. Tryout scheduled for May 6 at 3 p.m. at Brick Beach 3. Training will be provided. Must be available May 16-18 for training. Season is Memorial Day through Labor Day. Starting pay $16/hour.
BADGE CHECKER: Applicants must be at least 15 years old. Must be courteous and responsible. No previous experience necessary. From Memorial Day through Labor Day. Work hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Starting pay $15.49/hour.
WINDWARD BEACH MAINTENANCE: Applicants must be at least 16 years old. Responsibilities include park maintenance, litter clean-up, building maintenance, cleaning and other various duties. Must comply with all safety standards. Must be responsible and dependable. Starting pay $15.49/per hour.
TENNIS INSTRUCTOR: Applicants must be 18 years old. Responsible for teaching group lessons to children ages 6-15. Session runs from July 7-17. Sessions are held at the tennis courts next to the township Municipal Building on Chambers Bridge Road. First aid and CPR certification a plus. Tennis experience required. Hourly rate is $20.
SUMMER CROSSING GUARD: Applicants must be at least 18 years old. Must be able to perform duties of a traffic crossing guard. Responsibilities include assisting residents with crossing traffic, responding to inquiries from the public, and keeping records. Must be responsible, patient and self-directed. Traffic guard experience preferred. This is a seasonal, full-time position from May through September. Starting pay $17.00/hour.
