Threat By Brick Middle School Student Deemed Not Credible: Police
The incident involving a Lake Riviera Middle School student remains under investigation, Brick Township police said.

BRICK, NJ — Brick Township police are investigating after a student at Lake Riviera Middle School made threatening statements on Thursday, police said Friday.
"There is no credible threat deemed at this time," police and the school district said in a joint statement.
Police did not give details of the nature of the threatening statement.

"Chief David Forrester would like to thank the school administration as well as those who reported the incident," the statement said.
"Brick Police and Brick schools want to assure the community that we always take such incidents seriously and will investigate all threats to their lawful conclusion," the statement said.

Threats and suspicious activity can be reported directly to the police, to school officials or by using the WeTip link on the Brick Township School District website, police said.
