Another 68 will open to all in-person instruction, and 22 will have some combination of everything, Murphy said.

Here are some of school districts that are opening this week (click on the links to see how they're handling their reopenings, and the rules they have in place):
Murphy said he's hopeful that New Jersey will reopen safely and effectively, and he fully expects educators, administrators and support staff will be "at the ready."
Murphy said he's confident that New Jersey will not open in a "chaotic" way that's happened in other states, causing them to deal with outbreaks.
At the same time, Murphy said, he understands that "each and every school district is unique .(and) there are no, and can be no, one-size-fits-all measures."
"For all the different approaches, we are bound together by far more," he said.
Murphy said that diagnoses of the virus in school may be inevitable and outbreaks may happen, but he believes the school districts are prepared to handle them.
