1 Killed After Car Crashes Into Shuttle Bus On Route 22 In Bridgewater: Police
The crash caused the highway to close for about 3 hours before reopening Monday night.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — One person was killed after a car crashed into a shuttle bus on Route 22 in Bridgewater on Monday, said police.
On Monday at around 3:20 p.m., the Bridgewater Township Police Department responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 22 West in the area of the Bridgewater Acura Dealership (1231 Route 22).
A preliminary investigation found that a 2009 Hyundai Sonata (driven by Won Park, 90, of Somerville,) was going west on Route 22 in the center lane of travel, said Bridgewater Police Lt. Douglas Thorsen.

The Hyundai drifted to the right shoulder and hit a 2009 Chevrolet Shuttle Bus, which was parked and disabled on the right shoulder, said Thorsen.
The front-seat passenger of the 2009 Hyundai Sonata (Jung Bang, 89, of Somerville) was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Hyundai, Park, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Morristown Medical Center for treatment.
The crash investigation caused the highway to close for about 3 hours before reopening Monday night.
This crash remains under investigation by the Bridgewater Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau.
