BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Somerset County is filled with playgrounds galore to take the kiddos on a nice sunny day.
Some are more well-known than others and some are tucked-away gems. Patch is spotlighting each playground in the county to serve as a guide for parents, grandparents, or guardians looking for a new place to explore with the kids.
North Branch Playground

Tucked away off to the side at North Branch Park, where the Somerset County 4-H Fair is held every year, is the playground. It's nicely shaded by plenty of trees and has water fountains, benches and grills nearby.
The handicap-accessible playground consists of a recycled material BigToys play structure with platforms that allow for someone in a wheelchair to turn windlass.

Amenities also include a three-bay swing section with two infant seats and ADA-accessible swings. The playground also offers a rock climbing wall, 6 slides, a glider, balancing poles, and swinging monkey bars.
The playground is surrounded by large open fields for kids to run around and is in a quiet location for parents to sit back and relax.
