Bridgewater-Raritan HS Girls Swim Team Wins State Sectional Title

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Bridgewater-Raritan High School's girls' swim team rallied to win the North 2, Public A state championship on Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Bridgewater-Raritan, the No. 2 seed, upset top-seeded Westfield High School, 88-82, at the Raritan Bay YMCA in Perth Amboy.

Bridgewater-Raritan had trailed, 73-67, with two races remaining, and went on to defeat Westfield in the state sectionals for the second straight year.

Bridgewater-Raritan was the third seed when it upset second-seeded Westfield in the 2024 sectional semifinals. Ridge High School then defeated Bridgewater-Raritan in the 2024 state sectional final.

Bridgewater-Raritan advanced to the Public A state semifinals that will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Gloucester County Institute of Technology in Deptford.

The Public A state final is set for Sunday, Feb. 23, at Rutgers University.
