BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Millennials, get ready to be transported back to the '80s, '90s, and 2000s.
Bridgewater local and National Guard veteran Terrell Person recently opened Zuted Vintage in the Bridgewater Commons on the third floor next to Hot Topic.

Person, who is 34 years old said growing up in the '80s, '90s, and '00s was the "golden era."
"I think a lot of things that we still use today were created from that time, whether it be like the first iPod and the iPod Nanos... the Beanie Babies. And now they have the Labubus, which is like the Beanie Babies. I think it all resonates from the 90s," said Person.

Person wanted to tap into that era but also do it in an environmentally friendly way.
"I wanted to do more than just clothes. I've always been into fashion, and I always used to thrift. I would always go to the Goodwill stores and find some of the vintage, older stuff. I was just attracted to it," said Person.
Then, as he got older, Person said he became more aware of what's going on with the ecosystem, as far as sustainability and recycling. He is against fast fashion and instead looks for sustainable clothing.
After serving with the National Guard for eight years, he decided to use the money he earned to start his business and open his first store in 2016.
He began in malls such as the American Dream and King of Prussia before branching out to open pop-ups.
Once he moved to Bridgewater, Person said he would frequent the mall often and decided he wanted to move his business to the Commons.
"Being here in this short time, I really like it, and I like it more because you get more of a community feel," said Person.
Following in his eco-friendly ideals, Person encourages customers to bring in recyclable bags to receive store credit in exchange.
"I am just trying to make the world a better place with clothing, if you will," said Person.
