The proclamation highlights the need to prioritize kids. It urges all citizens to learn about prevention initiatives and the work of community-based child abuse prevention programs to help build a narrative of hope for children throughout the community.

For the 8th year in a row, several members of the Bridgewater Woman's Club placed 100 blue and silver pinwheels at the Municipal Plaza Courtyard.

The pinwheel gardens supports the NJ - Prevent Child Abuse Pinwheels for Prevention Campaign. NJ-PCA believes that people respond positively to the "childlike whimsy and lightheartedness" of pinwheels. Their vision is for "a world where all children grow up happy, healthy, and are prepared to succeed in supportive families and communities."
