Crim School Celebrates National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day
Students and staff at Crim Primary School were able to speak with local law enforcement and ask questions during Monday's presentation.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Students and staff at Crim Primary School received an in-depth look into the folks the township’s law enforcement system during a National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day presentation on Monday.
The day of recognition saw Mike Voorhees, the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District Security Coordinator, as well as school district resource officers Thomas Keeth, Matthew Lynch,
Joseph Costello and Will Federico, answer questions from students and staff.
Inside Crim’s all-purpose room, Voorhees also read to the young students alongside Bridgewater police officers Anthony Milito and Cole Taggert.

“This was my idea to have our security officers and local police come and read and talk
to the kids who can ask questions, all part of National Law Enforcement Appreciation
Day,” Crim Principal Kelliann TenKate said in a statement. “Our students can see and learn the importance of their jobs and these are people who they can look up to.”
Voorhees also shared the importance of having security and police work with the school community.

“This is a part of a collaborative effort between the students and police so that we can
make it work for everyone,” Vorhees said.
