On June 9, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., we will celebrate ’s Roots & Shoots program and the 15th anniversary of our backyard meadows and trails with our annual Forest Fest event. It will be a day full of activities featuring animals, make-and-take booths, live entertainment, environmental information and delicious food to raise funds to support Hillside’s Meadows and Trails.
An array of informational stations will offer materials, lessons and activities about our local and global environments. Represented will be the Jane Goodall Institute, Lakota Wolf Preserve, Somerset County 4H clubs, Students Raising Students, Horse Rescue, Autism Awareness, Seeing Eye, Girl Scout Troops, Hillside's own Roots & Shoots program participants and many more! Student members of our district community will conclude our exciting afternoon with a special variety show in our all-purpose room at 2:15 p.m.
