“Seussical The Musical” has delighted folks since its Broadway introduction a dozen years ago. It’s a show full of singing and dancing, which spotlights many Dr. Seuss characters, including the "Cat in the Hat." The Seussical story takes Horton the Elephant through life’s challenges, ending with the discovery of acceptance and love.
This professionally-staged production (presented by ) is slated for the George Street Playhouse in downtown New Brunswick during the weekend of Aug. 10 through Aug. 12. The performances are Friday, Aug. 10 at 7:00 p.m.; Saturday, Aug 11 at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 12 at 3:00 p.m. The cast includes Bridgewater’s own Brittany Powelson (a sophomore at Bridgewater-Raritan High School).
Seussical runs about 90 minutes and has one intermission. The musical promises to be fun, fast-paced and family oriented—and very informal. Tickets are $15 each.
