Irises: Photographs by Local Photographer on Display at Warren Township Library
30 photographs of colorful Irises by Hannah Kerwin are on display through September 30.
SOMERSET COUTY, NJ - The Art Space at SCLSNJ’s Warren Township Library branch, located at 42 Mountain Blvd. in Warren Township, will feature 30 photographs of colorful Irises in a variety of settings and lighting conditions by local photographer, Hannah Kerwin, through September 30.
Many of the featured images were photographed by Kerwin at Presby Memorial Iris Gardens in Montclair, New Jersey; others were photographed at her home in Chatham.

“As you view these spectacular flowers, consider the interplay of colors, patterns, shapes and textures,” said Kerwin. “Look for sunlight reflected in raindrops, rhythmic veins lining ruffled petals and juxtapositions of light and shadows.”
A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the College of Wooster (Ohio), Kerwin obtained a master’s degree in library science from Case Western Reserve University and a certificate in video production and photography from New York University. She is currently serving as SCLSNJ’s Watchung Library branch manager and was previously the director of SCLSNJ’s Bound Brook Memorial Library branch (2001-2015). She incorporates photography into her job by documenting library and community activities for media distribution, as well as posterity.
