Martinsville Woman One of Two Charged in Scrap Theft

A Somerville man and a Bridgewater woman were caught stealing glass bottles and scrap metal from a vacant property in Warren Township last week, Warren police said.

Warren Township police responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle on San Road at about 3 p.m. last Thursday. The investigation led to the arrest of Joseph S. Columbano, 42, of Somerville, and Dawn M. Ryan, 35, of the Martinsville section of Bridgewater, who were each charged with criminal trespass and theft, the police report said.

The items taken totaled about $100, the police report said.

Both were taken to headquarters, processed and then released awaiting a court date, according to the police report.
