NJ State Jazz Preliminaries at Bridgewater-Raritan High School

The public is invited to attend the New Jersey State Jazz Preliminaries, featuring bands from across the state.

Bridgewater-Raritan High School (BRHS) will be hosting the New Jersey State Jazz Preliminaries Thursday night, March 12, with performances from eight bands, including the BRHS jazz band that will be sure to heat things up.

The jazz program at Bridgewater-Raritan High School is well recognized and fortunate enough to support three student jazz bands. They would like to invite you to come out and hear how jazz in staying alive through this generation of youth.

Bridgewater-Raritan High School will be hosting the New Jersey Association for Jazz Education State Jazz Preliminaries Thursday, March 12, with performances beginning at 5 p.m. and continuing through the evening in the auditorium at the BR High School. Awards will be announced at 8:45 p.m.

This event will be open to the public and people are encouraged to stop by at any time to hear different bands compete from across the state. Food will also be available for sale in the cafeteria.

The band is also thrilled to announce that announced that 18 members of the band qualified for Central Jersey Music Educators Association Region Band. Two of the members qualified for All Eastern Ensemble.
