Police Report Shoplifting Incidents

Bridgewater Police reports.

Bridgewater police received six theft reports and responded to five shoplifting incidents between Sept. 10 and Sept. 29, according to reports released this week.

Also, two other theft incidents were reported, including a report from a Warren resident that cash was taken from a laptop computer bag at the Bridgewater library on Sept. 17. Police also investigated a reported fraudulent charge made at the Macy’s Store on Sept. 23, with the victim reporting merchandise totaling $2,500 was charged to a Visa credit card account.

  • On Sept. 10, police charged Heather MacGillivray, of Flemington, with shoplifting $188 worth of merchandise from Lord and Taylor at the Bridgewater Commons Mall;
  • Michael Gill, of Tunison Lane, was charged with shoplifting merchandise valued at $142 from the Home Depot store on Promenade Boulevard on Sept. 20;
  • Barbara Molloy and Bryn Molloy, of Hillsborough, were charged with shoplifting $102 worth of merchandise from Costco on Sept. 23;
  • On Sept. 25, Kim Harris, of Plainfield, was charged with shoplifting $470 worth of merchandise from Old Navy. Police said four active arrest warrants from various jurisdictions had been issued for Harris.
  • And on Sept. 29, police charged Kristopher Kwicien, of Middlesex, with shoplifting after he allegedly tried to walk out of the Home Depot store, on Promenade Boulevar, with a Rhino Tuff string trimmer without paying for it after he found a dropped receipt for one in the store parking lot. Kwicien allegedly admitted the theft to the store’s loss prevention investigator prior to officer’s arrival. He was released pending a court appearance after the charge was filed.
