Stolen Bus Batteries Valued at More Than $2K

Police are still investigating the theft from First Student buses.

Police are continuing to investigate a theft of 11 batteries from First Student buses in Bridgewater, which delayed pick-ups of students Tuesday morning by up to 60 minutes.

According to Bridgewater Township Police Lt. Al Nicaretta, the batteries were removed from the buses parked in the First Student parking lot on Foothill Road between 5 p.m. Jan. 14 and 6 a.m. Jan. 15.

The batteries, Nicaretta said, were valued at a total of $2,250.

The theft is currently being investigated by the Bridgewater Police Criminal Investigative Bureau.
