Volunteers Needed For Raritan River Cleanup In Bridgewater
Raritan Headwaters is hosting its 33rd annual stream cleanup on April 15 to clean select branches of the Raritan River.
BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Raritan Headwaters is hosting its 33rd annual stream cleanup on April 15 to clean select branches of the Raritan River.
The cleanup effort will take place between 9 a.m. and noon at several locations throughout the Raritan River area, including in Bridgewater (Darby Tract), Bernardsville (Nervine Pond, Old Army Trail, Polo Grounds Seney Drive), Gladstone (Gladstone Firehouse), Bedminster (River Road Park) and Branchburg (Old York Road), the nonprofit organization said.
“It only takes three hours to make a big impact,” the nonprofit said in a statement on its website. “Safeguarding these “headwaters” means clean, safe water for 300,000 watershed residents and 1.5 million New Jerseyans living downstream in more urban areas that depend on the water that comes from our rivers and reservoirs.”
