Grover Cleveland Middle School Announces Students of the Month

Grover Cleveland Middle School (GCMS), Caldwell, announced its Students of the Month for February. The teachers nominate and then select one student from each grade.

To be nominated as Student of the Month, students must achieve academic success, exhibit appropriate behavior, possess a positive and friendly attitude, be genuine in that they are understanding, honest, and caring, and be a creative thinker.

This month’s students are sixth grader Evan Ordona, seventh grader Christopher DeBellonia and eighth grader Richard Garetano.

“Evan is one of the most caring sixth graders I have come across,” said a teacher representative. “He is always willing to help and offers words of praise and encouragement to his classmates. He clearly represents the traits of character that we’d love all of our students to possess.”

“He [Christopher] is so enthusiastic about class. He’s one of those students who hears about something intriguing in class, goes home to investigate, and comes back the next day to discuss what he learned that extended and enhanced his learning.”

“Richard is one of the hardest working students I have ever had the pleasure of teaching.  He is eager to learn something new each day and puts forth his best effort on all tasks."
