The stunning visual art and modern media of India is the topic of Caldwell College's upcoming lecture in September.
Beth Citron, assistant curator at the Rubin Museum of Art in New York City, will give the lecture at 6 p.m. on Sept. 19, in the college's Alumni Theater. She will examine the different ways artists have interpreted the effects of Britain’s decision to divide the Indian subcontinent into the countries of India and Pakistan.
The National Endowment for the Humanities and the American Library Association awarded a collection of 25 books, three films and electronic educational materials as part of the Muslim Journeys Bookshelf grant to the college's Jennings Library.
