Caldwell Students Create Christmas Trees Out of Old Books, Water Bottles
Students at Mount St. Dominic Academy in Caldwell built these eco-friendly trees out of recyclable materials.
Mount Saint Dominic Academy is getting in the Christmas spirit by constructing eco-friendly trees. Created entirely from out-of-date withdrawn books and water bottles that were destined for the recycling bin, the trees were constructed by students and faculty to mark the beginning of the Christmas season.
The book tree (pictured) is a wonderful new addition constructed in the DeCoursey Library Media Center and the plastic bottle crafted tree joyfully greets all who enter the school.
“The book tree is a centerpiece in The Mount’s ‘information hub,” Marissa Muoio, Class of 2008 and Mount St. Dominic Library Media Specialist said. “The student body visits the LMC to use the resources and facilities for study and collaboration. What a creative and festive addition the tree makes to the space.”
