Letter to the Editor: Mayor Ann Dassing Thanks Voters After Successful Campaign

Mayor Dassing and Councilmen-Elect John Cascarano and Kristian Brown express their gratitude for the public support in the recent election.

The following is a letter to the editor submitted by Caldwell Mayor Ann Dassing to Caldwells Patch.

Dear Caldwell Residents,

The three of us decided to run for office because we care about our community and its people. We truly believed we had the right vision for Caldwell’s future. On November 4th, the voters agreed with us, entrusting Ann Dassing with a second four year term as Mayor, and John Cascarano and Kris Brown with three years on the Borough Council.

We are humbled and grateful for the privilege to serve you in the coming years. Rest assured that when we promised to continue to provide excellent services and even seek creative ways to improve them while keeping costs (and thus tax increases) to a minimum, we meant it. We will work tirelessly and do everything possible to keep this promise to you. In the coming years you can expect a Mayor and members of Council who are honest, forthright, and transparent -- exactly as you voted for and deserve.

We will also do everything to make ourselves accessible. Although the new terms do not begin until January 1, please do not hesitate to reach out to any of us with any questions, concerns, or ideas. Running a municipality is not a 9-5 job, and problems will certainly not wait for the new year to begin. We understand that, and so should you.

Sincerely,

Mayor Ann Dassing

Councilman-Elect John Cascarano
