Here is what's happening in the Caldwells on Tuesday. 

The West Caldwell Public Library, at 30 Clinton Road, will present a staged reading titled "Daring Literary Divas" Tuesday at 7 p.m. featuring Equity actors Thea White and J.C. Hoyt. Enjoy some of Dorothy Parker's acerbic poems, a scene from Ionesco's "The Bald Soprano," excerpts from "The Diaries of Adam and Eve" by Mark Twain, and excerpts from the play "Gross Indecency: the Three Trials of Oscar Wilde."

This program is part of the Adult Summer Reading series with the theme "Groundbreaking Reads: Controversial of Banned Books." Registration for this program is required and you can sign-up by calling 973-226-5441 or sign-up onlne at http://daringliterarydivas.eventbrite.com.

The North Caldwell Mayor and Council will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in borough hall, 151 Gould Ave. 

Roads continue to be closed throughout the Cedars this week between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. as crews continue working on a water main project. The Caldwell Police Department is advising residents to plan alternate routes and follow posted detour routes.
