Vandalism At Under-Construction Athletic Courts In North Caldwell

Construction continues on the Gould Avenue tennis/pickleball/athletic courts in North Caldwell. Here's when they're expected to reopen.

NORTH CALDWELL, NJ — Construction continues on the Gould Avenue tennis/pickleball/athletic courts in North Caldwell, with a reopening anticipated for Spring 2025. But in the meanwhile, the area remains off-limits – including the courts, authorities announced this week.

On Monday, the North Caldwell Police Department said is investigating vandalism that took place at the courts over the weekend.

Authorities issued the following advisory for local residents:

“Please be advised this is still an active construction zone and, therefore, the courts remain closed. The newly installed gates have been locked and we ask that individuals respect our efforts. The public is NOT permitted to be on the courts or within the temporary fencing until the completion of the project.”

The courts have an anticipated opening date of Spring 2025, officials said.
