West Essex First Aid Squad Honored For Volunteer Service
The Caldwell Rotary Club recently honored the Squad with a special award for serving the surrounding community since 1937.

The Caldwell Rotary Club honored the West Essex First Aid Squad with a special award at the club’s regular meeting on Dec. 30.
The Squad was awarded the Service Above Self Award in recognition of their outstanding service to the Caldwell-West Caldwell, Fairfield, North Caldwell, and Essex Fells communities since the Squad’s founding in 1937. The ceremony was held at the Cloverleaf Tavern in Caldwell.
“The Club has supported the West Essex First Aid Squad since 1971,” a Rotary member noted. “Often volunteers never receive any thanks and this was our way to say just that.”
