New Master Plan for Downtown Camden Goes to Planning Board on Thursday (tapinto.net) — Camden’s Planning Board will review the long-awaited Downtown Camden Master Plan Thursday evening at City Hall, and residents can speak during a 6 p.m. public hearing. The plan targets vast surface parking lots and heavy impervious coverage, urging shared garages, more green space, and better use of the Delaware River waterfront to reduce flooding risks and revitalize downtown.

The top-rated hospitals for safety in South Jersey, as per Leapfrog (courierpostonline.com) — Cooper University Hospital in Camden has received a “C” safety grade from the Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2025 report, lagging behind many South Jersey peers. Hospital officials stress their national accolades and argue Leapfrog’s methods don’t fully reflect the complex, higher-acuity patients treated at Camden’s academic medical center.
   

3. Juvenile charged after Evesham car theft spree traced to Camden home (shorenewsnetwork.com) — Police say a string of car thefts in Evesham Township has been traced to a home on Ramona Gonzalez Street in Camden, where officers recovered evidence and charged a juvenile with receiving a stolen vehicle. Investigators warn that most recent thefts across the region, including those linked to Camden, involved unlocked cars with keys and valuables left inside, and they’re urging residents to secure their vehicles.
   

4. Beach says he plans to seek re-election in 2027 (newjerseyglobe.com) — State Sen. Jim Beach, whose district is based in Camden County, says he plans to run for a seventh term in 2027 despite opposition from U.S. Sen. Andy Kim. Beach strongly criticizes Kim’s record and motives, signaling a heated Democratic power struggle that could shape future representation for Camden County residents.
