$24K Raised In Most Successful Chatham Turkey Trot

Funds will benefit fire department and diabetes research.

The community came together on a day celebrated by giving thanks, and residents of Chatham Township sure did show their appreciation.

More than 950 runners participated in the 7th Annual Turkey Trot and raised more than $24,000 for the Chatham Township Volunteer Fire Department and Diabetes Research on Thursday, Nov. 26.

Races were separated by age and category with six winners announced.

They included Jackson Koury in the boys 1-mile fun run; Will O’Neill in the boys 5K; Will Mitchell in the men’s overall 5K; Rebecca Womer, girls 5K; Jody Mead, women’s 5K; and Elody Burko, girls 1 mile fun run.
