Burglars Break Into Chatham Home, Stealing $15K In Jewelry, Police Say
Police have not yet located or identified the burglary suspects, according to officials.
CHATHAM, NJ — Chatham Township police are searching for burglary suspects who reportedly stole jewelry from a township home before fleeing on Tuesday morning.
On Tuesday, between the hours of 9:45 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. a residence on Maple Street was burglarized, Chief Thomas Miller of the Chatham Township Police Department said.
The suspects forced their way into the home by smashing out a glass portion of the rear door, Miller said. While inside, the burglars stole approximately $15,000 in jewelry from the homeowners.

The Chatham Township Police Department is conducting an active investigation, and officers are asking anyone who noticed anything suspicious in the area to contact the Detective Bureau at 973-377-0100.
