• North Jersey cop claims private texts were used to unfairly punish him (dailyrecord.com) — A Chatham police sergeant has sued the borough and Police Department, claiming private text messages were improperly used to discipline him in retaliation for his union work during contentious contract talks. Borough officials say an independent hearing officer upheld discipline for misconduct, including loss of overtime and a recommended unpaid suspension, and vow to defend their actions in court.
   

• Lange 41 Saves for Chatham in ‘Senior Night' Boys Ice Hockey Win vs. Morristown; Defenseman Kieran Brendle 2 Goals, Assist (tapinto.net) — Chatham High’s boys ice hockey team earned a 5–3 Senior Night win over Morristown behind goalie Snowden Lange’s 41 saves and two goals from defenseman Kieran Brendle. The Cougars improved to 6–6 and now quickly turn around for a Tuesday afternoon matchup against Old Bridge, giving local fans another chance this week to support the team.
