1 Dead Following Fiery Crash On I-80

The car burst into flames shortly after the collision, according to authorities.

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A man is dead following a crash on a Parsippany highway, police said.

On Friday, around 11:30 a.m., an Ordell man, 61, was driving a Chevrolet SUV east on I-80 near exit 42 when he lost control of his car and crashed into a wooded area, according to authorities.

The car burst into flames shortly after the collision, police said.

He was pronounced dead following the crash, officials added. His identity has not yet been disclosed by authorities.
