Chatham Kiwanis Continues Memorial Day Remembrance Tradition
Volunteers place American flags on veterans' graves at Fairmount Cemetery.

CHATHAM, N.J. - The Kiwanis Club of Chatham and Madison is back to honoring the veterans who paid the ultimate price while defending the United States of America.
The tradition of placing American flags on graves of Veterans at Fairmount Cemetery for Memorial Day began many years ago with past Club President and Navy Veteran Bob Huntington. The volunteer group places more than 200 flags in the cemetery and another dozen at Library of the Chathams' Veterans Memorial, where the annual Memorial Day service is held.
