Chatham Mulch Site Now Open For Yard Waste Drop-Off

Residents can bring certain items on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

CHATHAM, N.J. – The Chatham Borough mulch site is now open, and just in time for residents to begin their yard work as temperatures warm up.

The borough’s mulch site will be open Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m. beginning March 9, and Saturdays between the hours of noon and 4 p.m. beginning March 12.

Residents will need permits to have access to the mulch area and are available on-site from Public Works personnel. Residents will need proof of residency and permit decals should be attached to permit vehicles.

Grass, leaves, hedge clippings, and tree limbs up to four inches in diameter are permitted for drop-off at the site.

Stumps, household refuse, concrete, building materials, metal furniture, old fence materials, limbs more than four inches in diameter, 2x4s, and landscape ties are not permitted.
