Chatham Police Make Special Holiday Delivery To Bring Kids Cheer
An area hospital benefitted from a Chatham Township Police toy collection, the bin they dropped off, brimming with gifts.

CHATHAM, NJ — The holiday could be a bit brighter for children in the area who are not feeling well this season.
Thanks to community donations, Chatham Township’s Police Department’s PBA Local 170 dropped off a bin filled to the top with toys, to an unnamed local hospital this past Tuesday.
Police Chief Thomas Miller told Patch, he estimated there were “well over 100 toys” in the box.

The unwrapped gifts came in as part of a yearly drive that Chatham Township Police Department PBA 170 organized, collecting the items through Dec. 17.

Chatham Borough Police Department did their own toy collection for Toys for Tots between Nov. 15 and Dec. 15, a toy-gathering initiative through the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve.
Chatham Township Police Department thanked all of the people who donated.
The toys were given to “children who are unfortunately hospitalized during the holidays," they wrote.
"With your thoughtful and generous support," Chatham Township Police wrote previously about the drive, "this annual gift of giving will again bring smiles, comfort and joy to so many ill and less fortunate children this holiday season."
