A Chatham native was among more than a dozen students inducted into the Oak Knoll Chapter of the Cum Laude Society.
Oak Knoll School of the Holy Child junior Grace Jagoe, of Chatham, class of 2016, was inducted into the society on Tuesday, April 21, before fellow students, faculty, staff and parents.
The Cum Laude Society recognizes academic achievement in secondary schools for the purpose of promoting excellence, justice and honor, according to the Oak Knoll School.

Jagoe was one of six juniors inducted into the society, the Oak Knoll School said. The five other juniors inducted included Tara Halter, of Springfield; Margaret Mumma, of Summit; Audrey Picut, of Warren; Valerie Ricciardi, of New Vernon; and Safia Speer, of Mountain Lakes.
According to the school, the seniors inducted into the society included Shaneena Alabado, of Orange; Nicole Baiocco, of New Vernon; Natalie Hench, of Ridgewood; Gabriella Leuthner, of Summit; Margaret Magovern, of Summit; Elizabeth Ocker, of Parsippany; and Courtney Schroeder, of Ridgewood.

The Oak Knoll students inducted into the Cum Laude Society were part of the top 10 percent of their class.
