Coffee With A Cop Aims To Bring Community Together In Chatham

Head on over to the Dunkin' Donuts on Main Street next week to get to know the officers in your neighborhood.

CHATHAM, NJ — The Chatham Borough Police Department will hold a “Coffee with a Cop” event on Wednesday, Nov. 30.

The public event will take place from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Dunkin' Donuts, located at 118 Main Street, in Chatham.

According to police, the event will provide the community with an opportunity to interact with Chatham officers in a relaxed setting. Residents will be able to speak with local police officers and ask questions, voice concerns, or simply get to know the officers better by "removing agendas."

"This program is a great way for officers and citizens to get together in a positive environment while talking over a cup of coffee," police said.

Coffee With a Cop is a nationwide initiative that connects police officers with members of the communities they serve, allowing them to chat in a neutral setting and learn more about one another.
