Cultural Celebration Highlights Chatham's Diversity, Unites Community
Chatham has joined forces with Madison to host a joint culture and diversity festival, building on last year's success.
CHATHAM, NJ — Following the success of last June's diversity festival, Chatham has partnered with Madison to host a joint culture and diversity festival this fall outside the Hartley Dodge Memorial building on Kings Road in Madison.
The festival will be held on Sept. 10, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., with a rain date of Sept. 11, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The culture and diversity festival will honor not only cultural diversity but also neurodiversity and the LGBTQ community, according to Madison Borough Councilwoman Debra Coen.

Chatham Borough's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Advisory Committee's goal is to promote appreciation of diversity within Chatham through community events and to develop programs that educate residents about the various types of diversity represented within the community.
"Enjoy the celebration, learn about different cultural groups, and help us promote empathy and inclusion," the committee said.

This family-friendly event will feature multicultural entertainment, speakers, food vendors, and booths hosted by local organizations featuring fun, creative activities for all.
There will be no admission fee, but attendees should expect to pay for food and beverages, as well as a small fee for some activities.
The purpose of the event is to foster empathy and inclusion in the community by learning about various cultural groups.
