Delayed Opening For Chatham Schools Due To Storm
The School District of the Chathams will have a delayed opening on Wednesday.
CHATHAM, NJ — The School District of the Chathams will have a delayed opening on Wednesday due to inclement weather.
According to the district, all after-school activities have also been canceled for Tuesday.
All parents will be emailed with the updated delayed opening times, officials said.

Gov. Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency in the Garden State Monday afternoon ahead of a winter storm system set to bring up to four inches of rain, flooding and wind gusts up to 65 mph that could down trees and cause tens of thousands of power outages.
The "massive" winter storm is expected to roll in during the latter part of Tuesday and continue into Wednesday. Heavy rain will fall, with 1 to 3 inches expected and up to 4 inches possible in some areas.

The Morris County Office of Emergency Management is concerned about flooding in county streams, creeks, and rivers, as well as probable wind gusts of 40–50 mph tomorrow night, which could knock down limbs and power lines.
A Flood Watch is in effect from 1 p.m. on Tuesday through 6 p.m. on Wednesday. A Wind Advisory is also in effect from 5 p.m. on Tuesday through 3 a.m. on Wednesday in Morris County.
