It's Official: Republicans Take Chatham Twp., Dems Win Boro Seats
After a pandemic-extended election style, the results are finally in.
CHATHAM, NJ —The polls have been closed for weeks and now Chatham Borough and Chatham Township residents know who will be representing them on their respective governing bodies as the Republicans have swept in the Township and Democrats have done the same in the Borough.
According to the final tallies, certified by the Morris County Clerk the totals were:

- Frank Truilo: 3,156
- Robert A. Weber: 2,736
Chatham Township
- Amee Shah: 3,278
- Philip Ankel: 3,240
- Ashley Felice: 3,534
- Mark F. Hamilton: 3,512

Since the change to this year's election was announced by Gov. Phil Murphy because of the coronavirus, there were been many questions about how the process worked. The primarily vote-by-mail process, in tandem with the extended deadlines to receive votes pushed the certification day to "on or about Nov. 20."
