Jam Out With Vinyl Generation Thursday Night In Chatham

This week's Spring Serenade Concert features the rock 'n' roll band. The concert will begin at 6 p.m. at Reasoner Park Gazebo.

CHATHAM, NJ — Vinyl Generation, a band led by Chatham's Mo Davis, will play the Reasoner Park Gazebo Thursday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. as part of the weekly Spring Serenade Concert Series.

In addition to Davis on guitar and vocals, Vinyl Generation is made up of Phill DeFreitas on guitar and vocals, Tom Tsilionis on bass and vocals, Darin Altilio on keys and vocals and Chris Reardon on drums, a news release from the Borough of Chatham's Community Services Department said. All are local music scene veterans.

"These five have come together to form a powerful electric rock band known as Vinyl Generation," the news release said. "No song is safe from their brand of earth-shattering, ear-bleeding rock and roll."

Mike Sodano, a singer and guitar soloist, will warm up the stage with classics from James Taylor, Neil Young and more beginning at 6 p.m.

"Residents are encouraged to purchase their favorite takeout from local eateries and enjoy while listening to the band," the news release said. "In the event of inclement weather, please check chathamborough.org for updated event status."
