Joe Barrette Will Serve Chatham Well

In my 16 years as a Chatham resident, I’ve seen people run for office for many reasons. The ones who end up doing the most meaningful work for the people of Chatham run not because they want glory or accolades, but because they want to serve.

Joe Barrette is one of those. He’s proven that over the years as a member of the Zoning board, helping shape our town in a responsible way. He also volunteers his time as Scoutmaster of BSA Troop 28. That’s a huge job which has a direct impact on members of the Troop, helping them grow into strong, caring citizens who donate many hours of service to our community each year.

Joe’s strong background in real estate is what the Chatham Borough Council needs to help us navigate the quagmire of Affordable Housing mandates. The issues facing the Council are only going to get more complex and contentious. I know that once elected, Joe will face these challenges with calm, intelligent reasoning and find a path that’s best for the people of Chatham.
