Meet Republican Candidates at Chatham Township Event
The Republican Club of the Chathams will be holding an event allowing voters to meet Republican candidates.

The Republican Club of the Chathams (RCC) will be holding an event later this month allowing voters the chance to meet and get to know Republican candidates before the June 2 Republican primary election.
The RCC will hold a Candidates’ Event from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, at the Chatham Township Municipal Building, 58 Meyersville Road in Chatham Township.
According to the RCC, candidates in the contested primary elections will receive five minutes to introduce themselves and state their position. There will be a fifteen minute general question and answer period following the candidates’ speeches.

Seven Republican Freeholder candidates are vying for three seats, two Republican Chatham Township Committee candidates competing for one seat and three Republican candidates for the Chatham Borough Council are competing for two seats, according to the RCC.
Candidates for Freeholder include Rockaway Borough Councilman Thomas Mulligan, running alone, and two trios running together, the RCC said. The first of two trios includes Freeholder John Krickus, Freeholder David Scapicchio and Denville Councilwoman Deborah Smith. The second group of three candidates includes Freeholder Deputy Director John Cesaro, Mendham Township businesswoman Christine M. Myers and former East Hanover Councilman Angelo Tedesco.

Borough Council candidates include Len Resto, Chair of the Environmental Commission, Peter Hoffman, Chair of the Board of Adjustment, and Patrick Carroll, Chair of the Shade Tree Commission, according to the RCC.
Township Committee candidates include former committeewoman Kathy Abbott and current Chatham Township Mayor Kevin Sullivan.
