Nora Is Making A Real Impact In The Community: Chatham Star Student
We all know students who excel in academics, fine arts, or volunteer service. Here's one local who is making an impact in Chatham.

CHATHAM, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.
Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.
This submission comes from Tara who nominated Nora of Chatham. Tara is Nora's older sister.

How do you know the star local student?
She is my baby sister
Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?
Nora makes an impact on every single person she meets. She is the most positive person I know. She always has a smile on her face and makes sure everyone is okay. She is never afraid to speak up for what is right or lend any person a helping hand.
Aside from maintaining above a 4.0 GPA average throughout high school, she has also been a singles starter for Chatham varsity tennis since her freshman year. She was also co-captain for the team this last year.
Evidently, she has a passion for tennis, which is why she was recently promoted to being the office manager at Strand Tennis. She works four days a week (during the year) either teaching group lessons, private lessons, or managing the front desk. She has never failed at anything although she has overcome many obstacles.
From being called stupid in grade school for not being able to read as fast as others and having to get extra help for having dyslexia. Nothing has ever held her back.
She has never let the negative energy she received from others affect who she is as a person. Always making sure everyone is welcome and happy. This is not only a special quality she has for her friends and family, she treats everyone this way.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?
How special and real she is. She is the best person I know. I am obviously very biased, however, I can have anyone who knows her testify for me.
Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Nora!
